Goodyear has maintained a fleet of blimps for many decades. They are replacing the blimp fleet with Zeppelins. The last Goodyear blimp will be retired in 2016.
The Goodyear blimp Spirit of Innovation landed at Goodyear, Arizona on Sunday, September 13, 2015. It is the last Goodyear blimp. The others have been replaced with Zeppelins. On Tuesday it is scheduled to depart for its new home base in Carson, California. It is slated to be replaced by a Zeppelin next year.
